How to Set Up IPTV on Mac
On a Mac you use the regular IBO Player – there is no Pro version for macOS. Setup works like on the TVs, via MAC address and device key.
What you need
- Mac with a current macOS (Intel or Apple silicon)
- Internet from 16 Mbps for HD
- WhatsApp on your phone or Mac
- A subscription (purchase or 24h trial)

Step 1
Download IBO Player
Download IBO Player for macOS from the official website iboplayer.com (“Downloads” section) and drag it into the Applications folder.

Step 2
Note your MAC address and device key

- 3
Step 3
Send the values via WhatsApp
Send us both values via our “IBO activation” page. We add your playlist.
- 4
Step 4
Restart the programme
Quit IBO Player after our confirmation (Cmd + Q) and open it again.
- 5
Step 5
Start watching
Channels, movies and series appear. Full-screen mode (Ctrl + Cmd + F) lets you watch without distractions.
Tip: if macOS says the app “can’t be opened” the first time, right-click it → “Open”. This is only needed on first launch.
Alternative: VLC player with an M3U link
VLC is free for Mac. Open “File → Open Network” and paste the M3U link from our WhatsApp message – the channels appear as a playlist.
Fixing problems on Mac
“App can’t be opened”
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway” at the bottom. Alternatively right-click the app → “Open”.
The picture stutters on Wi-Fi
Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter and close programmes that use a lot of bandwidth.
No playlist after restarting
Quit the programme completely with Cmd + Q. Check that the MAC address matches the one you sent.
