Tip: Google TV sometimes closes apps in the background. If TiviMate reloads every time you start it, disable battery/energy saving for the app in the device settings.

Alternative: IBO Player Pro

IBO Player Pro also runs on Google TV – install it via Downloader with code 923441. You send us the MAC address and device key, we add the playlist.

Fixing problems on Google TV

  • The app won’t install

Check that you are signed in to the Play Store with your Google account and have enough free storage. Restarting the device often helps.

  • The picture stutters

Connect the device by Ethernet if possible, restart router and TV and increase the buffer in TiviMate under Settings → Playback.

  • Audio and video are out of sync

In TiviMate under Settings → Playback switch the player (e.g. to “ExoPlayer”) or toggle the frame-rate matching option.
