How to Set Up IPTV on Chromecast with Google TV

What you need

• Chromecast with Google TV (HD or 4K) or Google TV Streamer
• Internet from 16 Mbps for HD, 50 Mbps for 4K
• A Google account
• Your login details from our WhatsApp message

Step by step: how to set up IPTV on Chromecast with Google TV

   Step 1

   Install TiviMate

   Go to “Search”, type “TiviMate” and install “TiviMate IPTV Player” from the Google Play Store.

   Enter your login

   Start TiviMate → “Add playlist” → “Xtream Codes” and enter the server URL, username and password. Tip: the Google TV app on your phone makes typing faster.

   Wait for loading

   TiviMate loads channels, movies, series and the TV guide.

   Start watching

   Pick a channel from the list. From now on you open TiviMate with one click from the Google TV home screen.

Note: the older Chromecast without a remote (casting from a phone only) isn’t suitable for IPTV apps. You need the version “with Google TV”.

Fixing problems on Chromecast with Google TV

• I can’t find a Play Store

  You probably have an older Chromecast without Google TV. These models can’t install apps – use a Fire TV Stick or the Google TV Streamer instead.

• Low storage

  The Chromecast has little storage. Delete unused apps and clear TiviMate’s cache in the app settings.

• The picture stutters

  Google’s official Ethernet power adapter lets you connect the Chromecast by cable. Otherwise 5 GHz Wi-Fi helps.
