How to Set Up IPTV on LG TV

What you need

• LG smart TV with webOS and LG Content Store
• Internet from 16 Mbps for HD, 50 Mbps for 4K
• WhatsApp on your phone
• A subscription (purchase or 24h trial)

Step by step: how to set up IPTV on LG TV

   Step 1

   Install IBO Player Pro

   Open the “LG Content Store” (called “Apps” on newer models), search for “IBO Player Pro” and install the app. Look for the small “Pro” badge in the logo.

   Note your MAC address and device key

   Start the app. The start screen shows “Mac Address” and “Device Key” – best take a photo with your phone.

   Send the values via WhatsApp

   Send us both values via our “IBO activation” page or directly on WhatsApp. We add your playlist and get back to you in the chat.

   Restart the app

   After our confirmation, close the app completely (e.g. switch the TV off and on briefly) and open it again.

   Start watching

   Your channels, movies and series now load. The menu lets you switch between live TV, movies and series.

Note: IBO Player Pro is free for 7 days, then you need a licence from the developer (not part of our package). On LG TVs it helps to switch off “Quick Start+” if the app doesn’t reload after turning the TV off.

Fixing problems on LG TV

• The app starts but shows no channels

  Switch off “Quick Start+” in the LG settings and restart the TV. Also check that the MAC address in our message matches the one in the app.

• The app isn’t available in the Content Store

  Older webOS versions may not be supported. Update the TV software or use a streaming stick in the HDMI port.

• The picture stutters

  Connect the TV by Ethernet cable, restart the router and choose the HD instead of the 4K version of a channel on a weak connection.
