How to Set Up IPTV on Samsung TV
On Samsung smart TVs (Tizen) we recommend IBO Player Pro – recognisable by the small “Pro” badge in the logo. You don’t type any login: you send us two values from the app and we add your playlist.
What you need
- Samsung smart TV with Smart Hub (Tizen, roughly 2017 or newer)
- Internet from 16 Mbps for HD, 50 Mbps for 4K
- WhatsApp on your phone
- A subscription (purchase or 24h trial)
Step by step: how to set up IPTV on Samsung TV

Step 1
Install IBO Player Pro
Press the Home button, open “Apps”, search for “IBO Player Pro” and install the app. Careful: not “IBO Pro Player” or “IBO PRO” – look for the “Pro” badge in the logo.

Note your MAC address and device key
Open the app. The start screen shows “Mac Address” and “Device Key”. It’s easiest to take a photo with your phone.

Send the values via WhatsApp
Send us both values – easiest via our “IBO activation” page, which opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message. We add your playlist and confirm in the chat.

Restart the app
After our confirmation, close the app completely and open it again. The playlist now loads.

Start watching
Channels, movies and series appear automatically in the app – including the TV guide for most channels.
Note: IBO Player Pro is free for 7 days. After that you buy the licence directly from the developer – it isn’t part of our package and the developer doesn’t refund it. So test the app properly during the free days.
Alternative: SmartOne IPTV
SmartOne IPTV is also available in the Samsung app store and works the same way via the MAC address. After a trial period it also needs a licence from the developer. Just send us the MAC address shown if you’d rather use SmartOne.
Fixing problems on Samsung TV
I can’t find the app in the store
Very old Samsung models (before about 2017) may not support the app. Also check that the right region is set in the TV settings. Alternatively, a Fire TV Stick in the HDMI port works.
No playlist after restarting
Check that the MAC address in your message exactly matches the one in the app. Switching between Wi-Fi and LAN changes the MAC address – send us the new one.
“License expired” after 7 days
The app’s free trial has ended. You buy the licence directly from the developer’s website – your playlist stays in place.
FAQ: IPTV on Samsung TV
Why don’t I have to type a login?
IBO Player Pro assigns the playlist via your TV’s MAC address. We enter it for you – so you don’t have to type with the remote.
Does IPTV work on every Samsung TV?
On most smart TVs from around 2017, yes. For older models we recommend a Fire TV Stick or Android TV box in the HDMI port.
Can I watch 4K channels?
Yes, if your Samsung TV supports 4K and your connection manages at least around 50 Mbps.
